Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) children and young people across the country have experienced unprecedented disruption to their education. The Government has provided funds to support children and young people to catch up. At Fawbert & Barnard's following assessments of pupil's gaps in learning, in September, we have made plans to use this funding to support those pupils with the biggest gaps, getting our Year 5 and 6 pupils secondary ready and supporting younger pupils as well.
Schools’ allocations will be calculated on a per pupil basis, providing each mainstream school with a total of £80 for each pupil in years Reception through to 11.
Details of the proposed spending strategy are within the Catch-Up Funding Premium Strategy document.
This is a working document and interventions may be moved if children make rapid progress and catch up quickly.

The Government has also provided additional funding for targeted support for disadvantaged and vulnerable groups through the national tutoring programme, but Fawbert & Barnard's were not awarded any of this money as of November 2020.
