We are providing a breakfast club run by our school staff. This is operating Monday to Friday from 7:30 am - 8:40 am. Children arriving before 8:00 am will be provided with a breakfast before being taken to classes at 8:40 am. Sessions require booking in advance. For more information of how we can accommodate your needs, please call the school office and speak with the Office Manager.
Chillout Kids Club operate a breakfast club and after-school club from their Barnmead premises Monday to Friday. However, if they have sufficient children they will deliver to our school and collect at the end of the day. Please click the link for more information.
Home from Home Childcare is available at our school from 3:00 - 6:00 pm during term time and 7:30 am until 6:00 pm during school holidays. Click here for more information.

Essex Music School Sessions
Please see the attached information for two-hour Junior music programme specifically for primary school aged students which runs for 10 weeks per term across the school year.
Long Ley Park Launch
ParkPlay is coming to Long Ley and people of all ages are invited to get involved! This is the 1st ParkPlay to launch in the area to bring people from local communities together in parks and green spaces for two hours of free, informal games and activity, every Saturday morning. Essex Library Reading Challenge
Children across Essex are being challenged to read six books to help a group of characters solve the mystery of where the items in their creative toolbox have disappeared to – can they be found in time for their big festival! If they complete the challenge, they receive a certificate and medal. Arriving in your local library this summer! Saturday 20 July to Saturday 7 September. South Mill Arts

Essex Fire Museum
There are three family open days coming up at the Essex Fire Museum over the summer holiday:
- Sunday 28th July 2024
-Tuesday 13th August 2024
-Sunday 25th August 2024
There will be opportunities for families to get involved in history trails around the museum, spot hazards in our fire safety room, partake in craft activities and a sit on our fire engines (and squirt water😊).
The museum is free entry (but visits are by appointment only……..as we are on the site of an operational fire station).
If families are interested, could they please email us at: museum@essex-fire.gov.uk and tell us the number in their party and the time they would like to arrive (we are open from 10.30am to 4.00pm). This is just because we have to keep the main station informed of numbers throughout the day.
Suggested last admissions are 2.30pm. This is just so that people have enough time to experience everything on site.
