Volunteer working
The school looks to parents for help in many ways and we are always grateful for the assistance given to us throughout the year.
If you think you have time to offer or a skill that you think the school could use, please contact a teacher or give your details to the school office staff.
Here are some of the ways in which you can help:
- Reading Partner
- Particular skills e.g.: cooking, sewing, gardening, reading stories and computing
- General classroom help, e.g.: cutting, sticking, painting and tidying.
- Covering/repairing books, making work cards, mounting work.
- In the Library
- Escort/transport – walking bus, swimming, educational visits, after school matches.
All regular volunteer helpers are required to complete an application form available from the office staff and undertake a DBS. You will also take part in an induction programme to explain the ethos and key policies and procedures of the school. If your child has moved onto secondary schooling you can of course continue to help here if you wish to do so. Please confirm with the Headteacher that you would like to continue your assistance.
