Celebrating World Book Week

What a fantastic week we have had celebrating World Book Week! The children have been immersed in exciting learning activities based on a special book for their year group.

In Year 4, we saw some wonderful work inspired by The Truth According to Arthur, while in Year 1, the children became authors themselves, creating their own stories based on There's a Monster in Your Book! It has been a joy to see their creativity come to life.

Thursday was the highlight of the week, with children and adults dressing up as their favourite book characters. The variety of costumes was incredible—thank you for all the effort you put into making the day so special!

We were also delighted to welcome Sabine Adeyinka, an author who writes exciting boarding school adventure stories set in Nigeria.  Sabine led a fantastic assembly and a workshop with Year 5 and 6, where the children created some brilliant writing of their own. We are excited to add her books to our school library!

To round off the week, we hosted an Usborne Book Fair which was well attended and raised further funds for restocking our library.

Thank you for your support in making World Book Week such a success!
